We Make Footballers Blackwood is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new girls-only football coaching session, starting this weekend.
The new session is designed to provide girls of all abilities with access to high-quality football coaching in a positive, fun and supportive environment. Whether your daughter is completely new to football, currently plays grassroots football, or is looking for additional training to support her development, our girls football coaching sessions in Blackwood are open to everyone.
Girls Football Coaching in Blackwood
At We Make Footballers Blackwood, our focus is on technical player development. Every session is built around helping players improve key football skills such as:
- Dribbling
- Ball mastery
- Passing and receiving
- First touch
- Turning and movement
- Finishing
- Confidence on the ball

Open to Girls of All Abilities
One of the biggest misconceptions in youth football is that additional training is only for elite players.
Our girls football training sessions in South Wales are open to all abilities. Whether your daughter is taking her first steps into football or already plays for a grassroots club, she will receive age-appropriate coaching focused on individual development.
The sessions are designed to complement grassroots football, giving players extra touches on the ball and more opportunities to improve their technical skills outside of their regular team training.
Building a Girls Football Pathway in Gwent
This new session represents much more than just an additional training opportunity.
It is the first step in building a dedicated girls football pathway across Gwent.
As participation continues to grow, our ambition is to create more opportunities for girls to develop, enjoy football and access high-quality coaching throughout their football journey.
Women's and girls football continues to grow rapidly across Wales and the UK, and we want to ensure that local players have access to the best possible environment to learn and improve.
