Over the course of the last year, girls’ soccer has been one of the fastest growing sports in the United Kingdom. The FA has invested millions of pounds in making the game more accessible to women and its popularity really is booming.
The Lionesses were front page news on their run to the semi finals of the World Cup in France during the summer. Steph Houghton, Lucy Bronze and Nikita Parris all became household names along the way.
The Women’s Super League attendance record has been broken twice already this season and over 70,000 supporters saw England take on Germany at Wembley back in November.
