We Make Footballers Girls was established in 2017, with its roots established in the FA Wildcats programme. From this, we were able to set up a group of motivated, enthusiastic and keen young female footballers who would progress to help launch WMF Girls.

At We Make Footballers, we run a girls' football programme which consists of weekly sessions during the school term time and holiday camps during the half-term weeks to optimise our player’s development. Our girl’s football programmes are held in very high regard with a dedicated, all-female coaching team-leading and inspiring the next generation. Our female coaches have played from the amateur level to being a part of professional clubs across a range of positions to ensure we are inclusive of every girl’s needs and desires.

Our values are fun, safety, passion and development and we use these to create the most inclusive environment for our girls to facilitate their learning. Each week we pose a different theme to our players and structure our sessions to maximise fun and development. At WMF we take pride in our girl’s programme and put in the maximum time, effort and resources to ensure its success in providing an opportunity for girls to play football.

Why do Children & Parents in Girls-only-football Love our Training?

Improved football technique

We break down the football fundamentals in a simple and engaging way. Then, our 1-on-1 drills give your child the time to reinforce what they've learnt at their own pace.

Teammates to mates

We only have 10 children per coach to ensure high quality training and the chance for your child to build friendships. We also have strict anti-bullying policies so they will always feel safe.

Healthy children are happier children

Exercise is best when it doesn't feel like exercise. Our weekly football training and holiday development camps are fun, but also boost your child's fitness, speed, movement, and agility too.

A real brain booster (that's smart!)

It's not just physical and social skills, our unique sessions help with cognitive function too. You will see your child develop better concentration, learning, listening, and decision-making skills week after week.

We Make Footballers is fantastic. Our daughter has enjoyed many hours of football training on Saturday mornings and in the holidays. What a great way to motivate kids with sport, teach them to win, to lose, to support others and to strive to be the best they can.

Frequently asked questions

Are you looking for a football training academy to partner with?

How it works: We provide players and teams for local grassroot teams to compete at a competitive grassroots level. The partnered club recommend WMF to players who aren’t quite ready to play at a grassroots level side (players may be too young or new to football).

What safety procedures are in place and are your coaches DBS checked?

All of our coaches are fully DBS checked and at least one member of staff on site will be first aid trained.

How do I get my child in shape for football?

Eating healthily, drinking lots of water and training often will help assist your child with their football development.
