New to teams?
That's absolutely fine. The trial is designed to assess fit, not just current ability. Many of our best players joined with zero team experience.
How squads work
Squads are organised by age group and experience level. This means your child trains and competes with players at a similar stage of development.

Attitude, effort, and coachability — not just how good you are right now. We want players who are willing to learn, work hard, and support their teammates.

Commitment
HOW WMF FC PUTNEY WORKS.
Here's what to expect when your child joins the squad.
Training
1–2 structured sessions per week (60–90 mins each), run by qualified coaches at your local venue.
Matchdays
Competitive league fixtures every weekend (typically Saturday or Sunday mornings). Tournaments and cups throughout the season.
Season
Full 10-month season running September to June, with breaks aligned to school half-terms.
Kit
Full home and away kit provided (included in your one-off registration fee).
Commitment
Monthly rolling membership — no long-term contract. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
